“From losing everything during the pandemic to launching TapOnn™, turning challenges into a thriving digital networking revolution.

I landed in Australia in 2013 believing in myself and confident to do something on my own and after graduation that journey started where the first idea failed before I could even start and that’s when I accidentally got into IT learning the working and the industry step by step and slowly after 1 year of work I started with my boutique agency helping small business with their online presence, still cant river the feeling of releasing our first joining letter of our first employee to the team and without we realising we grew to 25 member team in just 6 months.

In early 2020, I traveled to India for the launch of a medical app, planning to return to Australia a few months later. However, when the borders shut due to the pandemic, everything changed. In just two months, I lost all my clients, from making $30,000 a month to zero.

But out of that tough time came the idea for TapOnn. While cleaning out the office, I found stacks of unused business cards, and it struck me—traditional networking tools weren’t serving their purpose anymore. That’s when the concept of TapOnn was born, a modern, digital solution for connecting people and businesses without the need for physical cards. We did our research, developed the product, and saw success in India with brands like Mercedes-Benz AG, Reliance Industries Limited, Novotel Hotels, HSBC, and even the Ministry of Science and Technology adopted our tech.

In 2024, I decided to bring TapOnn to Australia as Sydney is where my journey began. I came back in March, determined to establish TapOnn in the Australian market. It hasn’t been easy, but the reception has been positive. Australia is a challenging market, but if you offer value and quality, people here appreciate it. My goal is to grow TapOnn into a global brand, with Australia being my first expansion into the western markets.

With hard work and persistence, I believe TapOnn will become a household name in the world of digital networking enabling smart networking and help build meaningful connections for everyone in Australia.” Dhruv Jolly
